The cottage by the lake

“Lake” is not the proper word but around our hills any water body bigger than a pool is considered a lake. So our pond is known by local people as “Richiari lake” : just an hectare of fresh water nestled in the tight valley of Richiari stream. A few meters away from the shores, a little cottage, touched by the waters of the stream that recalls the character of the waters in its name. (Ri ..clear..i)

An unusual place, secluded in a valley only 4 km from Greve, surrounded by woods and our olive fields (there are no vineyards at all around our property, so heavily treated nowadays). A place lightened up by funny ducks, bold carps and all the wild animals of our area (boar, deer, heron and many, many others).
